From March to September 2020, the Foundation invited application from community groups and charities based in Moray which were providing much needed support to the elderly and those in need as a result of the pandemic.  A total of 44 small grants were distributed during this period to a variety of different community engaged projects, many of which are still working hard to help the most vulnerable people in the area.  The commitment and enthusiasm by a small army of people in Moray to make a positive difference to people’s lives has given us all a much needed boost.

The Foundation’s general application process re-opened in September 2020 and it was agreed to shelve the Community Support Fund and review the situation if we felt it was appropriate.  As restrictions have once again become the ‘norm’ and look to be in place for several weeks, trustees have decided to re-open the Fund from 1 March.

Priority will again be given to those who are providing direct support in the community.  The decision-making process will be carried out on an ongoing basis for grants up to £500.

We invite community groups/charities which meet the criteria to contact Kay Jackson for further information on the application process – kay@gebfoundation.com.
